This is me, writing in bed at our trailer in Cal-Nev-Ari, Nevada, in the Mojave Desert with the coyotes, rabbits, hares, lizards, and birds.
This is where most of FLOATING was written.
It’s still hard to believe I actually – wrote – a – book. A novel. A long novel. And, most importantly, a great novel I’m happy with! Come to think of it, writing isn’t that hard, but writing, and re-writing, and reeeee-writing takes a kind of stamina and determination I wasn’t sure I had. The truth is, when I began the book, I didn’t have the stamina and determination I needed; I had to keep choosing to have the stamina and determination over and over and over and over.
Now, as I get ready to launch this website along with the book, my mind is already working on book #2, I’m a little more confident that I can do it now.
I’m also a lot more aware of how much work it is.
